Sometimes you just particularly adore something for no apparent reason. Usually for me it's the combination of a variety of things that all click together in a way that makes the deviation hit you just right. With 99 luftballons by *sonicelectronic, the extremely stylistic method of communicating a message has made me stare at this piece for a long time. Oh lerd... the English verzh, no wonder there's a wierdish creature that I must now ask you to identify for me. WHAZZAT? (It's cool, but I really do wanna know.) SECONDLY AND MORE IMPORTANTLY: (My OCD forces me) WHERE THE F&&& did the "Red" come from. That's BS! Red in German is "Rot" It's not "Neunundneuzig Rotballons" dem it! It's AIRBALLOON! AIRBALLOON! It still fits, why did they change it? WHY!?!?!??!? Grrr.... And another thing, the English version (and I've tried this) doesn't fit the rythym, the translation of the German, it fits the song better than the English vers. (Which is largely a rewrite.) So why couldn't they have gone with that? Did they think we were too stupid to get it? Did they think it would be better if it was turned into a love song! NO! ~Insert rest of rant here.~

Anyway, LONG story short, the song rocks, the English version sucks but at least it was by the same band so it doesn't suck as bad. I'm pretty sure they slowed down the English version, and there's a few hundred other related things I could rant about but I will spare you as I should be commenting on the PICTURE.

That said: This is really awesome, I love your war machine in the back o'er yon (looks kinda like one o' Plankton's contraptions), the angry rock by the thingy cracked me up, and whatever that thing is, it looks pretty cool. It's kinda light, witty and comical take on what is, when thought about, a pretty dark song about humanity's fails and the impending doom. Also, having once drawn out 99 red balloons by hand with a laptop touchpad (and cramping, oh so cramping in the hand.) I am definetly affected by the fan fever that's well earned by this song, and well shown here.

i've always loved this picture <3 it has so much going on without too much going on and it's really nice to see the war-like scene in the back going on in the middle of the day with such a cute cute girl in the front <3 totally adore her curves!! i've always really liked how you draw girls in super cute and tiny outfits and still manage to make them look oh so cute and lovable without looking slutty haha
